Upcoming SpaceX Missions: October to December 2025
October 1, 2025 – Starlink Group 10-59
The first big mission of October will see a Falcon 9 rocket lifting off from Cape Canaveral carrying another batch of Starlink satellites. These satellites will strengthen coverage in North America and the Pacific, slowly pushing the constellation closer to its full design. For many rural areas, each new Starlink launch means stronger signals and better connections.
October 6, 2025 – Starship Flight Test 11
Early October is also expected to bring another Starship test flight from Starbase in Texas. This mission is designed to validate suborbital systems, test reentry dynamics, and collect engineering data. While payload delivery is not the goal here, every Starship flight is an important rehearsal for the deep space missions Musk wants in the future.
October 22, 2025 – SPAINSAT NG II
A Falcon 9 rocket will carry Spain’s next-generation military communications satellite into geostationary orbit. This spacecraft will provide secure links for defense and government operations across Europe, Africa, and the Atlantic. It also highlights how SpaceX has become a trusted partner for governments worldwide.
October 2025 – Bandwagon-4 Rideshare
Later in October, SpaceX is planning its Bandwagon-4 rideshare mission. These flights bundle together dozens of small satellites for universities, startups, and space agencies. From Earth observation to experimental communications, these payloads demonstrate how accessible orbit has become thanks to reusable rockets.
November 2025 – Transporter 15
The Transporter series continues in November with another large rideshare mission out of Vandenberg. Hundreds of small satellites and CubeSats will ride into orbit on one Falcon 9. These rideshares are vital for new space companies, giving them affordable access to space without booking a dedicated launch.
November 16, 2025 – Sentinel-6B
This important climate mission will launch from California on a Falcon 9. The Sentinel-6B satellite is part of an international effort to track sea levels, ocean currents, and climate change with high precision. For scientists, the data will help predict weather patterns and understand rising seas.
December 2025 – Griffin Mission 1 on Falcon Heavy
As the year closes, one of the highlights could be the Griffin Mission launching aboard a Falcon Heavy. This heavy-lift rocket will demonstrate its ability to send massive payloads into orbit, and the mission is tied to lunar and deep-space technology. It’s one of the most anticipated flights of the year.
December 2025 – Globalstar Third Generation
SpaceX is also preparing to deploy a new generation of Globalstar communications satellites. These spacecraft will refresh the company’s existing network, providing faster and more reliable services for customers who depend on satellite connectivity in remote areas.
December 2025 – KOMPSAT-7A
South Korea’s KOMPSAT-7A Earth observation satellite is also scheduled for launch late in the year. Once in orbit, it will provide high-resolution imaging for environmental monitoring, disaster response, and national security.
